HeritageThe Layon Valley is a transitional space between the Mauges (the “Military Vendée”), and the Saumurois regions. This location is therefore enriched by the complimentary influences of both these regions, as well as with wine culture and trade, which was developed thanks to the channelling of the “Layon” river (late 18th century).
Mines, windmills, lime kilns, bridges, the Monsieur Canal, wine houses, washing plants, fountains… there are many historic avenues to explore! -
